COVINGTON — Richard P. Holycross, 66, of Covington, a baker who owned and operated a shop here for several years, died today in Veterans Hospital at Danville, Ill. He had been ill 10 months. He had worked in several bakeries and was a veteran of World War II. He was born in Covington on Nov. 27, 1910, a son of Lewis and Mary Goudy Holycross. Surviving are four sisters, Nell Holder of Hammond, Marry Boggs of Veedersburg, Birdella Brackley of Covington and Eileen Lape of Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home here with the Rev. James Daniel officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday.  --waw
